Custom House To Support 'Shine A Light' Campaign

Riverside Inverclyde is proud to announce its participation in the 'Shine a Light' campaign to celebrate World Neurofibromatosis Day on 17 May 2018.

World Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day is the one day of the year when people across the globe come together to recognise and support those affected by Neurofibromatosis - a neuro-genetic condition which can cause tumours to grow on your nervous system which affects over 26,500 in the United Kingdom and to date no cure has been found.

As the leading UK charity working to provide support to those living with Neurofibromatosis, The Neuro Foundation’s is building support to raise awareness of the illness in preparation for the World Neurofibromatosis Day celebrations.

To pledge our support to help raise awareness, the iconic Custom House will join other buildings in the 'Shine a Light' campaign by shining blue from 17-31 May 2018.

In September 2017, the Custom House also supported the Glow Gold campaign in honour of local boy Nathan Mowat's three-year battle with leukaemia.  Nathan finished his treatment earlier this year by ringing the bell at the Royal Sick Children's Hospital.
